Who We Are and What We Do…
The smiling faces of the staff at the Ritchie County Public Library are ready to help in any way they can, when patrons grace our doors! Whether searching for a new author to read or digging for a selection of audio books or if you just want to spend a quiet night at home with a new DVD, you can find something to suit your fancy inside our Libraries.
Our Director Emilee Duvall leads our staff as we create a welcoming atmosphere for all who enter. She can often be found in her office on the second floor of the Main Library in Harrisville. Also in the Main Library are Thresa Prunty, Samantha Dean, Diane Lamp and Jennifer Knapp, all of whom can be seen at the front counter helping patrons with checking out items and other needs.
Thresa also keeps busy cataloging books and materials in her office behind the front counter. Samantha works on children’s and other programs from her office upstairs. Diane coordinates our Books-By-Mail program in the BBM room upstairs, while Jennifer keeps things organized and helps with promotional materials and children’s crafts in her upstairs office.
Rounding out our staff is Connie Frederick-Williams and Pam McCullough, both of whom keep things together at the Branch Library in Pennsboro. You can find the two of them behind the counter in Pennsboro or out and about in the Library shelving books or rearranging a display.

Emilee Duvall, Director
She keeps the wheels turning at Ritchie County Public Library. Whether moving through the stacks of books or the stacks on her desk, Emilee is busy with one task or another. Don’t forget to send a friendly wave her way, if you pass her office or see her out and about in the Library!

Thresa keeps busy cataloging each and every book, magazine, DVD and audiobook gracing the shelves of both the Main and Branch Libraries! From her desk in her office behind the front counter in the Main Library, she is ready to spring into action to help patrons with a smile!

Our program guru, Samantha usually has a pair of scissors or glue in her hands as she prepares for another fun and exciting children’s program. She can also often be found shelving books, interacting with children and smiling all around the Main Library in Harrisville!

From ordering books to fulfilling book requests, Diane is our team specialist when it comes to Books-By-Mail. If you don’t see her at the front counter in Harrisville, she is upstairs prepping books and putting together one of the many BBM Book Catalogs she mails to patrons throughout the year!
Jennifer Knapp 304.643.2717 Ext. 8
Jenny assists our Director, Emilee, in her her many tasks as well as serves as our crafter and organizer extraordinaire, Jennifer is a driving force as she puts together our monthly children’s kits. Handy with a paint brush, popsicle sticks and googly eyes, you’re likely to see her upstairs or down.

Our in-house computer whisperer handles tech problems of all sorts and tries to keep up with updating computers. She also handles layout and design as well as updates to our website and flyers and brochures. You can find Connie along with Pam behind the counter in Pennsboro ready to assist with a smile!

Our children’s program specialist in Pennsboro keeps the children’s area organized, neat and clean! She puts up a new and inviting bulletin board in the children’s area each month as well as prepares all materials for checkout. You can find Pam at her desk along with Connie behind the counter in Pennsboro!
